Tips
- Always make sure that you wash your hair with cold or tepid water when using egg masks! Warm or hot water will cook up the egg in your hair, leaving you with white, cooked egg bits on your hair strands.
- Wear a shower cap or wrap your hair in a towel to avoid making a mess while the mask is working its magic.
- Do not blow-dry your hair after applying any of the masks, as it can make your hair frizzy and dry.
- Do not use curling irons or straighteners too often, as they can make your hair brittle.

Can I combine all the mentioned ingredients from all those masks/methods together to be used in one go? I have coarse, dry, frizzy curly hair, psoriatic dandruff, greasy sculp and dry, spongy roots. Thanks
Dear Ari
Thank you for your comment.
We won’t suggest you to mix all the ingredients together and apply in one go. You can always alter the masks a little bit according to your preference but shouldn’t mix all of them together. As there are a number of ingredients in here and we do not know how are they going to react when mixed. The composition might change and have an adverse effect on your hair.
Hope we were able to help.

Can I do several of these masks in one week – the mask for damaged hair one day, the mask to prevent hair loss another…?
Dear Laura
Thank you for your comment.
We suggest you to use one mask per week, as to observe the results gradually. In this way you’ll be able to evaluate each mask individually and then decide upon the frequency of using each of of them.
Hope we were able to help.

Can’t i use normal oil for the masks or is olive oil necessary? Thx:)
Hi Hiya
Thank you for your comment.
You can use olive/castor/coconut/almond oil depending on whichever suits you.
The consistency of the mask may however change because of the oil, so keep a check on that.

If anyone’s interested, I compiled a list of all the ingredients given above and what they each contribute to the recipes. That way, if you have combination hair (like many of us) you can work out which ingredients might best suit your hair. So…. here are the ingredients:
*Eggs: one or two added to some of the following. For really oily hair, use only the egg white. For hair desperate for moisture, use only the yolk. Otherwise use the whole egg.
*Yoghurt: yoghurt can help reduce excess oil build-up on the scalp. Yogurt will reverse the damage caused by product build-up and air pollution. The lactic acid in yogurt sloughs off dirt, while the milk fat moisturizes the hair shafts. It also helps prevent dandruff, which can cause hair loss.
*Lemon juice: fresh lemon juice serves as a natural scalp cleanser and prevents dandruff and other scalp troubles.
*Honey: The honey acts as a natural humectant, drawing in moisture to the hair. It helps to soften frizzy hair.
*Olive Oil (or other oils such as coconut, almond or argon oil): Providing nourishment, olive oil is rich in essential fatty acids that coat the hair shafts and keep them protected and healthy. Olive oil also helps banish dandruff with its antifungal properties.
*Castor Oil: Castor oil is a timeless remedy used to get thick and long hair. Combined with eggs, the two ingredients form a power pack for hair growth. Castor oil helps unplug dormant hair follicles by removing the product build-up on the scalp, which may be hindering hair growth. The proteins and fatty acids of both the oil and eggs also stimulate growth of new and healthy hair.
*Banana: The banana provides vitamin A that promotes sebum production in the scalp, which helps moisturize the scalp and hair strands naturally. It is also rich in potassium that helps rejuvenate damaged hair.
*Milk: Milk provides essential nutrients to the hair and restores its shine.
*Apple Cider Vinegar: This type of vinegar can help cleanse the scalp and restore its pH level. Along with olive oil, it will nourish and hydrate dull hair, while its antifungal properties will counter dandruff.
*Mayonnaise: Mayonnaise is made up of oils and eggs that work as a conditioner to make your hair soft and shiny.
What if you don’t have honey for the deep conditioning what else can you use
Hi Nana
If you do not have honey, you can use coconut milk instead. It will add nourishment & shine to your hair and make it frizz free.
