From expensive salon treatments to costly dermatological appointments; we spend a lot of our time, money, and energy in the quest for better skin and hair.
We even religiously read up on and follow celebrity diets or beauty regimes to get their smooth, flawless skin, and luxuriant tresses.
While, in reality, we can solve most of our hair and skin problems easily and economically by using a single ingredient, that is, vitamin E oil.

Vitamin E, also known as the “skin vitamin,” has excellent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and skin healing properties, which make it an excellent remedy for various skin and hair problems.
This vitamin is found in vegetable oils such as palm, sunflower, olive, corn, and soybean oil. Whole grains, nuts, wheat germ, and sunflower seeds are also rich sources of vitamin E.
Nowadays, vitamin E is being added to various face creams, lotions, moisturizers, and cosmetic products because of its skin moisturizing and nourishing properties. However, we recommend the undiluted Vitamin E oil that comes enclosed in capsules for best results.
Vitamin E is the ideal solution for all of your skin and hair problems as:
- It is rich in antioxidants that fight free radicals to heal and repair damaged skin cells.
- It works to repair and improve the appearance of damaged tissues.
- It removes acne scars and dark spots.
- It moisturizes and hydrates skin.
- It boosts the production of collagen and elastin in skin cells, thereby drastically improving skin elasticity.
- It helps reverse the signs of aging to give brighter and younger-looking skin.
So then, what are you waiting for? Continue reading below to discover the various ways in which you can use vitamin E oil for your face, skin, and hair.

# For Skin
Method 1: Wrinkles and Crow’s Feet
All dream of staying young forever. However, despite our best effort, the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines is inevitable as we age.
Crow’s feet, also known as laugh lines or character lines, refer to the fine lines that radiate outward from your eyes because of repetitive facial expressions such as laughing, smiling, or squinting.
While many turn to Botox or get facelifts, we show you how to use vitamin E oil to reduce these signs of aging.
Simply mix vitamin E oil with raw honey, fresh lemon juice, and plain yogurt to prepare an all-natural and incredibly effective anti-wrinkle mask.
Things you’ll need:
- Vitamin E oil (improves skin elasticity) – 3 capsules
- Raw honey (acts as a humectant) – 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice, freshly squeezed (acts as a natural bleaching agent) – 1 teaspoon
- Plain yogurt (nourishes and moisturizes) – 1 tablespoon
Step 1. Combine vitamin E oil, honey, yogurt, and lemon juice in a container

- Pierce and empty 2 vitamin E capsules into a bowl.
- Add 1 teaspoon of raw honey.
- Add 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt as well.
Step 2. Mix well and apply

- Add 1 teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix well.
- Apply around your eyes to get rid of crow’s feet and wrinkles.
- Leave it on for at least 30 minutes and wash your face keeping your eyes shut to prevent the mask from getting into your eyes.
Do this once daily for at least 2 weeks to get significant results; afterward, apply once every 3 days to keep the wrinkles away.
Method 2: Acne Scars
While getting rid of acne is quite a task by itself, you are also left to deal with lingering scars that mar your appearance.
Vitamin E oil helps to repair and heal the damaged skin, giving your skin a smooth and flawless look.
Single-Step Method: Apply vitamin E oil to get rid of acne scars

- Wash your face with a mild cleanser to get rid of any dirt or impurities.
- Pierce a vitamin E capsule and squeeze out the oil wherever you have acne scars.
- Rub it gently with your fingers and leave it overnight for best results.
- Wash your face with warm or lukewarm water in the morning.
Repeat daily for at least 3 to 4 weeks to improve the appearance of your acne scars; you will notice a significant improvement after regular application for 8 to 10 days.
Method 3: Dark Circles
Burning the midnight candle can often leave you with dark circles around the eyes, giving you the look of a sleepy panda.
While we cannot do anything about the work or study load, we can show you how to use vitamin E oil to get rid of dark circles.
Single-Step Method: Apply vitamin E oil directly on dark circles

- Pierce a vitamin E oil tablet; squeeze out, and apply the oil directly on your dark circles. It's best if you do this at night.
- Rub it in gently using your fingers and leave on overnight.
- Wash your face in the morning with lukewarm water.
Repeat this daily for at least 2 to 3 weeks to eliminate dark circles completely; you will see a noticeable change after just 1 week of application.
Method 4: Hyperpigmentation
Prolonged exposure to the sun and its harmful ultraviolet rays can cause excessive melanin production, which manifests in the form of uneven dark patches or dark spots, i.e., hyperpigmentation.
As vitamin E has antioxidant properties, it reverses the skin damage caused by the harmful UV rays and clears out the dark patches or spots to give clear, blemish-free skin.
Things you’ll need:
- Vitamin E oil (repairs damaged the skin) – 1 capsule
- Extra-virgin olive oil (nourishes and moisturizes damaged skin) – 2 teaspoons
Single-Step Method: Apply a blend of vitamin E and olive oil to get rid of hyperpigmentation

- Take 2 teaspoons of extra-virgin olive oil in a small mixing bowl.
- Pierce and squeeze out the contents of 1 vitamin E capsule into the bowl.
- Mix well and apply to the affected areas to get rid of hyperpigmentation.
- Leave it overnight and wash your face with warm water in the morning.
Do this daily till the hyperpigmentation is completely gone.
Method 5: DIY Salve for Dry, Rough Hands and Brittle Nails
Our hands go through much during the day. While washing them continually is good for hygiene, it can also leave them dry and rough.
Whereas, on the other hand, a poor diet can contribute to dry brittle nails, which often turn into weak yellow nails.
We have come up with a deeply nourishing and moisturizing DIY salve that can be used to get rid of dry and rough hands and to strengthen brittle nails naturally.
Things you’ll need:
- Vitamin E oil (nourishes, moisturizes, and repairs skin) – 2 capsules
- Extra-virgin coconut oil (moisturizing and anti-inflammatory) – 2 tablespoons
- Extra-virgin olive oil (nourishing and antioxidant) – 1 tablespoon
- Shea butter (deeply nourishing) – ½ cup
- Beeswax (locks in moisture) – 1 tablespoon
- Raw honey (acts as a humectant) – 1 tablespoon
- Aloe vera gel (boosts collagen production) – ½ tablespoon
- Lavender essential oil (anti-inflammatory) – 3 to 4 drops
Step 1. Combine shea butter, beeswax, and coconut oil in a double boiler

- Set up a double boiler.
- Add 1 tablespoon of beeswax to it.
- Add ½ cup of shea butter.
- Add 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin coconut oil as well.

- Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Stir and mix the ingredients until they melt to get a uniform blend.
- Remove the blend from heat and let it cool down a bit.
Step 2. Add honey and aloe vera gel

- Once the blend has sufficiently cooled down, add 1 tablespoon of raw honey.
- Add ½ tablespoon of aloe vera gel. You can either use commercially available aloe vera gel or make your own at home.
Step 3. Add vitamin E and lavender essential oil

- Pierce and empty 2 vitamin E capsules into the bowl as well.
- Finally, add 3 to 4 drops of lavender essential oil.
Step 4. Whisk well and let it solidify

- Whisk thoroughly by hand to get a smooth uniform blend.
- Pour it out into a container and let it solidify in the refrigerator.
Your DIY hand cream is now ready for use. Apply it once or twice daily to moisturize and repair your rough, dry hands.

Method 6: Stretch Marks
Stretch marks often occur because of pregnancy or after drastic weight loss as your body goes back to its original size.
While the reduction in the size calls for a celebration, the ugly stretch marks can quickly bring you down from your euphoric high.
As vitamin E helps boost skin elasticity, you can mix it up with a basic, unscented moisturizer and apply to treat stretch marks naturally.
Things you’ll need:
- Vitamin E oil (boost collagen production) – 1–2 capsules
- Unscented moisturizer – 2 teaspoons
Single-Step Method: Mix vitamin E oil with unscented moisturizer and apply

- Take around 2 teaspoons of any light, unscented moisturizer in a bowl.
- Pierce and squeeze out 1 capsule into the bowl.
- Mix well and apply the blend over your stretch marks; use your fingers and massage it in for around 5 minutes or so.
Repeat twice daily till the stretch marks fade away.
Method 7: Chapped Lips
The harsh winter winds can leave you with dry, rough, and chapped lips, which not only mar your appearance but can also develop into cracked and bleeding lips if left unchecked.
Fortunately, the solution is simple; massage some vitamin E oil on your dry, chapped lips
Single-Step Method: Apply vitamin E oil to hydrate and repair chapped lips

- Pierce a vitamin E capsule and squeeze out the oil directly onto your chapped lips; do this at night just before going to bed.
- Use your fingers to gently massage the oil onto your dry and chapped lips.
- Leave it on overnight and wash your mouth in the morning with lukewarm water.
Repeat daily for at least 2 weeks to transform your dry, chapped lips into soft and plump ones.
Method 8: Skin Allergies
As vitamin E has potent skin-healing and anti-inflammatory properties, you can mix it with other skin-soothing and healing ingredients such as extra-virgin coconut oil, along with lavender and tea tree essential oil, to treat and get rid of skin allergies naturally.
Things you’ll need:
- Vitamin E oil (anti-inflammatory and repairs skin cells) – 2 capsules
- Lavender essential oil (anti-inflammatory) – 2 to 3 drops
- Tea tree essential oil (antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory) – 1 to 2 drops
- Extra-virgin coconut oil (antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and healing) – 2 to 3 teaspoons
Step 1. Combine all the oils in a bowl

- Take 2 to 3 teaspoons of melted coconut oil in a bowl.
- Pierce and empty a vitamin E capsule into the bowl.
- Add 2 to 3 drops of lavender essential oil.
- Add 1 to 3 drops of tea tree essential oil as well.
Step 2. Mix well and apply to soothe the inflamed skin

- Mix well with a spoon.
- Apply to the irritated and inflamed skin.
- Rub it gently on the skin and wash it off after 20 to 30 minutes.
Repeat twice daily till the swelling and inflammation go away entirely.
Method 9: Skin Lightening
You can also use vitamin E oil to make face masks to get lighter and brighter skin.
# For Oily Skin
Combine freshly squeezed lemon juice and vitamin E oil to make a highly effective skin-brightening face mask for oily skin.
Things you’ll need:
- Vitamin E oil – 2 capsules
- Lemon juice, freshly squeezed (natural bleaching agent) – 1 tablespoon
Step 1. Combine lemon juice and vitamin E oil

- Take 1 tablespoon of freshly-squeezed lemon juice in a small mixing bowl.
- Pierce an empty capsule and empty it into the bowl.
- Mix well to get a thorough blend.
- Use a cosmetic brush to apply it all over your face, save the sensitive areas around your mouth and eyes.
- Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, and then wash your face with lukewarm water.
# For Dry Skin
Another incredibly simple recipe requires you to mix vitamin E oil with other nourishing ingredients such as raw honey and milk to make a deep moisturizing face mask to replenish and brighten dry, dull, and damaged skin.
Things you’ll need:
- Vitamin E oil (nourishes and repairs skin cells) – 2 capsules
- Raw honey (acts as a humectant) – 2 tablespoons
- Milk (nourishes and moisturizes the skin) – 2 tablespoons
Step 1. Combine vitamin E oil, honey, and milk in a bowl

- Pierce and empty 2 vitamin E capsules in a mixing bowl.
- Add 2 tablespoons of raw honey to it.
- Add 2 tablespoons of milk as well.
Step 2. Mix well and apply to hydrate and lighten dry skin

- Mix well with a spoon to get a thorough blend.
- Use a cosmetic brush to apply it all over your face, except for the sensitive areas around your lips and eyes.
- Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes, and then rinse your face with lukewarm water.
- You can also apply a light moisturizer to seal in the moisture.
Apply this mask every 2 to 3 days to rejuvenate dry skin.
Method 10: Dark Spots
Dark spots, also known as liver spots, refer to the black or brown spots that occur on the skin because of hyperpigmentation, which is caused by too much exposure to the harmful UV (ultraviolet) rays of the sun.
Combining vitamin E oil with aloe vera gel creates an excellent remedy for dark spots, as aloe vera gel is absorbed by the skin and helps to heal internally.
Things you’ll need:
- Vitamin E oil (antioxidant) – 2 capsules
- Aloe vera gel (lightens and repairs skin) – 1 tablespoon
Single-Step Method: Apply a mixture of aloe vera gel and vitamin E oil to get rid of dark spots

- Take 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel in a bowl.
- Pierce and empty 2 vitamin E capsules into the bowl as well.
- Mix well and apply over dark spots.
- Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes; afterward, wash your face with lukewarm water.
Do this 2 to 3 times weekly till the dark spots fade away completely.
Method 11: For Glowing Skin
Who doesn’t want healthy, glowing skin? Sadly, our skin accumulates dirt and damage throughout the day via exposure to the sun and environmental pollutants.
You can apply the following mask after a long, hard day to remove the signs of tiredness and fatigue from your face for a soft glow instead.
Things you’ll need:
- Vitamin E oil (nourishes and repairs skin) – 2 capsules
- Aloe vera gel (hydrates and lightens skin) – 2 tablespoons
- Rosewater (enriches and tightens skin) – 2 tablespoons
- Almond oil (enhances and nourishes skin) – 1 teaspoon
Step 1. Combine aloe vera gel, rose water, almond oil, and vitamin E oil

- Take 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel in a bowl.
- Add 2 tablespoons of rose water.
- Add 1 teaspoon of almond oil.
- Finally, pierce and empty 2 vitamin E capsules into the bowl as well.
Step 2. Mix well and apply to get healthy and glowing skin

- Mix thoroughly with a spoon to achieve a uniform blend.
- Apply it on as a face mask to get glowing skin.
- Keep it on for around 20 to 30 minutes, and then wash your face with lukewarm water.
Use this mask twice weekly to get healthy and glowing skin.
Method 12: Dry or Itchy Skin
The long winters can leave you with extremely dry and itchy skin, which can be a constant source of irritation.
Alternatively, taking long hot showers also tends to dry your skin out, leaving it feeling rough and itchy.
An incredibly simple solution to this dilemma involves applying a blend of vitamin E and coconut oil to get rid of dry, itchy skin naturally.
Things you’ll need:
- Extra-virgin coconut oil (nourishes and hydrates) – 2 capsules
- Vitamin E oil (nourishes and repairs skin) – 1 tablespoon
Single-Step Method: Apply a blend of coconut and vitamin E oil to get rid of dry, itchy skin

- Take 1 tablespoon of melted coconut oil in a small bowl.
- Pierce and empty 2 vitamin E capsules into the bowl as well.
- Mix well and gently massage into dry or itchy skin.
Do this once daily to get rid of dry, itchy skin naturally.
# For Hair
Method 1: Hair Regrowth
We all dream of having thick, voluminous hair with luxurious strands; yet, sadly, hectic schedules and never-ending chores often tend to get in the way.
One of the simplest and easiest ways to boost hair growth is by simply massaging with pure, undiluted vitamin E oil.
Single-Step Method: Apply vitamin E oil to your scalp to boost hair growth

- Massage vitamin E oil into your hair and scalp for at least 5 minutes for increased blood circulation.
- Leave the vitamin E oil on for 30 minutes or do this at night and leave it on overnight.
- Afterward, wash your hair with water and a mild shampoo.
Do this at least once a week for increased hair growth.
Method 2: Prevent Split Ends
Excessive styling and crimping can wear out the outer protective layer of your hair cuticles leading to weak, damaged hair with two or more split ends that make your hair look rough and untidy.
While the most common solution is to trim your splits ends, you can use vitamin E oil to repair them instead.
For best results, apply a blend of coconut and vitamin E oil to nourish, and strengthen your strands.
Things you’ll need:
- Vitamin E oil (nourishes and repairs) – 1 teaspoon
- Coconut oil (hydrates and strengthens hair) – 1 tablespoon
Single-Step Method: Combine coconut oil and vitamin E oil in a bowl

- Pour 1 tablespoon of melted extra-virgin coconut oil in a bowl.
- Add ½ teaspoon of vitamin E oil to it.
- Mix well and massage the blend into your hair and scalp; make sure to cover the split ends well.
- Keep it on for 30 to 40 minutes or overnight if possible and then wash your hair with water and a mild shampoo.
Do this 1 to 2 times a week to repair and prevent split ends.
Method 3: DIY Serum for Soft and Healthy Hair
Today, extensive hair coloring and styling often leaves one with dull, dry, and damaged strands that look thin and pitiful.
However, you no longer need to worry about hair damage as we will show you how to make a super serum with natural oils and simple ingredients that will give you soft, healthy, and shiny hair in no time.
Things you’ll need:
- Vitamin E oil (nourishes, strengthens, and repairs) – 4 to 5 capsules (around 2 teaspoons)
- Rosemary essential oil (promotes hair growth) – 1 teaspoon
- Lavender essential oil (anti-inflammatory, treats and prevents dandruff) – 10 drops
- Argan oil (moisturizes and strengthens hair) – 2 tablespoons
- Aloe vera gel (nourishes and promotes growth) – 4 tablespoons
- Distilled water – 2 tablespoons
Step 1. Combine water and aloe vera gel in a jar

- Pour 2 tablespoons of distilled water into a jar.
- Add 4 tablespoons of aloe vera gel as well.
Step 2. Add the oils

- Add 10 drops of lavender essential oil.
- Add 1 teaspoon of rosemary essential oil.
- Pour 2 tablespoons of argan oil.
- Finally, pierce and empty 4 to 5 vitamin E capsules (around 2 teaspoons) into the jar as well.
Step 3. Blend well and transfer for storage

- Use a small motorized blender to whisk all the ingredients together.
- Transfer the serum into a clean shampoo bottle using a tiny funnel to avoid any wasteful spilling.
- Squeeze out some serum into your hands and massage into your hair and scalp.
- Leave it on for 30 to 40 minutes or overnight, and afterward, rinse the hair with water and a mild shampoo.
Use this super serum once a week to get soft and healthy hair with luxurious tresses.

Hi Udani
Yes, you can apply vitamin e directly on the pimple and wash it in the morning. Please do a patch test on your skin before applying it to your face in the visible areas. It may not suit people with very oily skin.
Hope this helps!
