Steps to Clean a Glass Stovetop

Things you’ll need:
- Baking soda
- Liquid dish soap
- Vinegar
- Dishcloth
- Microfiber cloth
- Nylon pot scraper
- Sponge
- Rubber gloves
- Hot water
Step 1. Wipe the stovetop with a wet sponge

- Use a wet sponge to remove as much of the loose food particles and liquid as to clean a glass stovetop.
Step 2. Prepare the soapy cleaning solution

- You can prepare the hot soapy water in the sink, a bucket or a bowl.
- Fill it with hot water and add about 1 teaspoon of liquid dish soap to it. Be sure to wear rubber gloves so that you can make the water pretty hot and thoroughly mix in the liquid dish soap.
- Soak the dishcloth in the hot soapy cleaning solution.
Step 3. Sprinkle baking soda and spray vinegar on the stovetop

- Sprinkle baking soda over the entire stovetop.
- Fill a spray bottle with vinegar.
- Spray the vinegar on top of the baking soda. This will help loosen up any hardened grease.
- Take the dishcloth out of the hot soapy cleaning solution and wring it just a little so that it does not drip but still remains wet.
- Place it on the stovetop and let it sit for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 4. Use a scraper on any stubborn stains & dry and buff the stovetop

- After 20 minutes, remove the dishcloth from the stovetop. You will notice the loosened debris floating in the cleaning mixture.
- You can use the same dishcloth to wipe the stovetop clean, or a sponge to loosen up any remaining grease for a thorough cleaning.
- If there is anything still stuck on it, try using a stovetop scraper or a nylon pot scraper to loosen it up.
- Once everything has been removed and cleaned, use the microfiber cloth and buff the stovetop to a dry shine.
