Method 27 : DIY Drain Cleaner

If you have a slow moving drain in your kitchen or bathroom, try cleaning with the good old baking soda and vinegar.

Things you’ll need:

• Hot water – 2 cups
• White vinegar – 1 cup
• Baking soda – 1 cup

Step 1. Throw baking soda down the drain

• Drop 1 cup of baking soda into the clogged drain.
• Pour a little bit of hot water to dampen the baking soda and make it bubble up.
• Let the baking soda sit for 5 minutes.

Step 2. Pour white vinegar and hot water into the drain

• Pour 1 cup of white vinegar and 1 cup of hot water into the drain.
• Let the vinegar work on the clogged drain for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing the drain with running water.
