Thinking of the sweet scent of blooming flowers, the first flower that comes to mind is the rose.

Roses (genus Rosa) are an edible flower belonging to the Rosaceae family. They not only smell sweet, they look beautiful, too. It’s an ideal flower to give as a gift for any occasion. Be it someone’s wedding or a marriage proposal, roses are most known for expressing love.

But did you know that roses also have culinary uses?

Rose petal jam, as the name suggests, is made from rose petals and is widely popular in Indian sub-continents.
